dc.description.abstract | Background: Based on the results of observations made by the author by looking directly at the existing conditions at the Medan Communications and Informatics Service Office, it can be seen that the types of archives include: personnel files, office financial reports and proof of payment and other letters. The number of dynamic archives at the Medan Communications and Informatics Service Office from the end of 2021 to now is around 8,053 archives. The implementation of dynamic archive management still has several obstacles, such as the lack of a special room to store archives, the placement of archives that are still scattered around, and a lack of human resources in managing dynamic archives at the Medan City Communications and Information Office.
Objective: This research aims to determine dynamic archive management at the Medan City Communications and Information Office.
Method: The data collection method used was literature study, observations, interviews, documentation.
Results: The research results show that dynamic archive management at the Medan City Communication and Information Office consists of creating, using, maintaining, structuring and depreciating archives. Creation of archives in the form of activities for managing incoming and outgoing letters using agenda books and the SARANA application; use of archives in the form of activities to classify the nature of letters and the process of rediscovering archives which have been carried out digitally through the SARANA application; archive maintenance in the form of filing and archival storage activities; archive structuring in the form of structuring inactive dynamic archives; Archive depreciation at the Medan City Communication and Informatics Service Office has not yet been depreciated due to a lack of human resources.
Conclusion: Management of dynamic archives at the Medan City Communications and Information Office has been carried out quite well, but there are still several obstacles in managing dynamic archives. | en_US |
