    Perbedaan Efektivitas Antibakteri Rebusan Buah Lerak (Sapindus rarak DC) sebagai Alternatif Bahan Irigasi Saluran Akar dengan NaOCl 2,5% terhadap Porphyromonas Gingivalis (in Vitro)

    Abstract
    Root canal irrigation is the important thing to support in success of root canal treatment, because irrigation can release of necrotic tissue easily, microorganism, and dentin flakes of infected root canal. Lerak has active compound such as saponin, alkaloid, tannin, flavonoid, and polyphenol that expected can be alternative as root canal irrigation material. This experiment aims to knowing antibacterial effect of lerak decoction (Sapindus rarak DC) as root canal irrigation alternative material in growth of Porphyromonas Gingivalis and seeking minimum inhibited consentration and minimum killed concentration. This study is true exoerimental with post test only control group design and using Porphyromonas Gingivalis ATCC 33277 as a sample. 100 gr of lerak is boiled with 100 ml of aquadest until boiling and looklike has brown color. The value of minimum inhibited consentration and minimum killed concentrationis assessed with Drop Plates Miles Misra method. Lerak decoction diluted with BHIB through dilution method, so obtained 100%, 50%, 25%, 12,5%, 6,25% and 3,125% with 4 replication in every treatment group include termasuk NaOCl 2,5%, fill with 0,1 ml bacteria, then mixed and incubated along 24 hours in 37°C degree. Then, take 0,1 ml from liquid from dilution procedure and replant to Brucella Blood Agar media, and incubated. Result of this study from ANOVA and LSD test shown lerak fruit decoction in 50% concentration has same antibacterial effect with NaOCl 2,5% on Porphyromonas Gingivalis. The conclusion is minimum inhibited concentration is obtained on 25% and minimun killed concentration is 50%.
