dc.description.abstract | This research is motivated by the accuracy ofthe 2024 election vote results through Sirekap as a means of publication and a tool to support the recapitulation in the General Election 2024, which aims to realize transparency in election results. The objective of this research to describe how information technology plays a role in the recapitulation process implemented by the KPU (General Election Commissions) to produce transparent elections in Asahan Regency and analyze the weaknesses of Sirekap in the recapitulation process, thereby encouraging the KPU to make improvements. The Conceptual Framework used in this research is the Trust Pyramid Concept Guide by International IDEA (Institutefor Democracy and Electoral Assistance). This is a descriptive qualitative research method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The informants for this research consists of Election Organizers, Election Observers, Public Figures, and Witnesses for Presidential Candidates in the 2024 Election in Asahan. The data analysis techniques consist ofdata reduction, data presentation, condensation and conclusions.
The research results find that the use of information technology as a tool for recapitulation is notfully capable of realizing transparent elections in Asahan Regency and requires consideration and evaluation if it is used as a recapitulation tool in the upcoming election. However, the level of public concern has increased regarding the publication of vote results from the KPU pubIication portal. Sirekap requires evaluation and improvement in terms of Human Resources, Network/Server, Data Accuracy and Information Integrity. | en_US |
