dc.description.abstractIncreasing population growth is directly proportional to the fulfillment of food needs and the resulting waste. This increase is characterized by livestock production that continues to increase every year due to the large market demand for food sourced from cattle. One of the waste products resulting from this increased demand is the remaining cow dung. The impact of cow dung is environmental pollution and can endanger the health of livestock and livestock owners. On the other hand, the increasing consumption of cement also causes environmental pollution. This pollution is caused by cement production processes that are less environmentally friendly and is characterized by air pollution from toxic gases produced during cement production. As a result, a technological innovation emerged to process cow dung into CDA (Cow Dung Ash) as a cement substitute to produce environmentally friendly concrete. CDA is obtained from the process of drying, roasting, roasting, and filtering cow dung. This study aims to calculate the compressive strength of concrete resulting from the substitution of CDA for cement, calculate the optimal substitution of CDA use, and determine the effect of CDA on concrete. The planned compressive strength was 20 MPa with a 28-day soaking age. The CDA variations used were 0%, 3%, 5%, 7%, 9%, and 11%. The optimum CDA substitution in concrete is at a percentage of 3% at 20.76 MPa and 5% at 20.09 MPaen_US
