dc.description.abstractIndonesia is a country located in a geographical position that is on the Pacific Ring of Fire belt area. Therefore, buildings in Indonesia must have high resistance to earthquakes, one of the methods used is the use of base isolation. Buildings with Base Isolation separate the building structure in the horizontal component of ground movement by inserting a certain base isolation system that has effective stiffness between the upper building and its foundation, in this study the type of Base Isolation used is High Damping Rubber Bearing (HDRB). This study aims to determine the structural response in the form of Period Extension, Structure Displacement, Inter-Story Drift, Base Shear Force, and Building Acceleration due to the use of High Damping Rubber Bearing.Structure Modeling using Midas Gen 2023 Software. The method used in this research is Time History Analysis with 5 earthquakes , Kobe Earthquake, Northidge Earthquake, San Fernando Earthquake, Parkfield Earthquake and El-Centro Earthquake. As a result of the use of High Damping Rubber Bearing in the structure can extend the structural period where the initial period is 0.691s to 2.38s, the Displacement value is getting bigger in the X direction by 87.30%, the Y direction is 58.99%, the Inter-Story Drift is getting smaller, the Base Shear Force is getting smaller in the X direction by 81.79% and the Y direction by 58.99%en_US
