    Abstract
Siamese sepat or snakeskin gourami (Trichogaster pectoralis, Regan 1910) has known as an aquaculture fish with high production numbers. This study aimed to inspect the effect of pineapple peel powder (Ananas comosus L.Merr) mixed in commercial feed on the growth and survival of Siamese sepat fish. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method consisting of four treatments with six repetitions each. The treatments consisted of P0 (commercial feed without the addition of pineapple peel powder); P1 (commercial feed + 2% pineapple peel powder; P2 (commercial feed + 4% pineapple peel powder); P3 (commercial feed + 6% pineapple peel powder). The results showed the addition of pineapple peel powder into the feed by different doses gain a significant effect (P < 0.05) on the weight and the length in Siamese sepat fish, and give no significant effect (P>0.05) to the survival value (SR). The highest growth is obtained in P2 with a dose of 4% (4 grams of pineapple peel powder per 100 grams of commercial feed) by the average weight gain obtained is 12.47 grams and the average length gaining is 14.26 cm with a survival percentage of 93.75%. Based on these results obtained, it can be concluded, the best dose of pineapple peel powder (Ananas comosus L.Merr) is 4g/100g feed compare to other doses of the treatments.
