Abstract
This study aims to determine the influence of Grit on Job Readiness in students who have had internships. Job readiness refers to a set of knowledge, understanding and personal attitudes that enables individuals to be prepared to pursue desired careers. One of the influencing factors of job readiness is Grit, defined as perseverance and passion for long-term goals. This study involved 54 students from the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Sumatera Utara. A saturated sampling technique was employed for participation selection. Data on job readiness were collected using a scale developed by the researcher, while data on Grit were gathered using a Grit scale also developed by the researcher. The research findings indicated a significant linear regression value of 0.015 < 0.05, suggesting an influence of Grit on job readiness. The regression equation derived from the study was Y = 102.309 + 0.391 X, indicating a positive impact of Grit on job readiness among students who have undergone internships. The study also revealed that Grit accounts for 10.9% of the variance in job readiness. Most of the research subjects exhibited high levels of job readiness and Grit.
