Gambaran Nasionalisme pada Generasi X di Kota Medan

Abstract

This study aims to see the picture of nationalism in Generation X in the city of Medan. This study involved 100 people in generation X in the city of Medan who were taken using the Accidental Sampling technique. The measuring instrument used was the Nationalism scale developed by Blank and Schmidt (2003) and then modified by Sri Hamidah et al in 2023. The results of the study showed a general picture of nationalism in generation X in the city of Medan, with a total of 102 participants showing that 97 participants or 95.1% were in the high category, and 5 participants or 4.9% were in the medium category. These results then show that the picture of nationalism in generation X in the city of Medan as a whole is in the high category. The high nationalism in generation X cannot be separated from the characteristics of generation X who like the process and experience in their lives so that they appreciate history more.
