Peran Self-Determination terhadap Work Performance pada Guru di Perguruan Taman Siswa Binjai
The Role of Self-determination on Work Performance in Teacher at Perguruan Taman Siswa Binjai
Abstract
This study aims to determine the role of self-determination in the work performance of Taman Siswa Binjai teachers. The sample in this study consisted of 49 Taman Siswa Binjai teachers who were selected using a saturated sampling technique. The method employed in this study was an inferential quantitative approach, and data were collected using an adapted Likert scale. The measuring instruments included the Indonesian version of the Self-determination Scale (SDS) adapted by Muttaqin (2023), based on the theory of Sheldon and Deci (1996), and the Indonesian version of the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) adapted by Widyastuti and Hidayat (2018), based on the theory of Koopmans et al. (2014). The data were analyzed using Jeffreys's Amazing Statistics Program (JASP) version 0.18.3.0. The statistical technique employed was simple linear regression analysis, revealing a significant p-value (0.001) < 0.05, indicating that this research identified the role of self-determination in the work performance of Taman Siswa Binjai teachers. Additionally, an R-Square value of 0.35 was obtained, demonstrating that self-determination accounted for 35% of the variance in the work performance of Taman Siswa Binjai teachers.
