The decision to use new technology can be reviewed through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), through the dimensions of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use and attitudes towards using an application. One of the learning tools that students can use is the ChatGPT 3.5 application. There are still few students who use ChatGPT 3.5. including among students at the University of North Sumatra. This shows that there is no harmony between the statement that says that students are a generation born easily adaptable to technology. This study involved 376 participants who used ChatGPT 3.5, by filling out an attitude scale measuring tool for using ChatGPT 3.5, perceived usefulness, and perceived convenience constructed by the researcher and team. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have a significant role in attitudes towards using ChatGPT 3.5. The coefficient of determination (R Square) shows a value of 0.757, meaning that the attitude of using ChatGPT 3.5 is influenced by perceived usefulness and perceived convenience by 75.7% with a p value of <.001 (<0.05). The results showed a significant positive relationship between the variables of perceived usefulness and perceived convenience towards the attitude of using ChatGPT 3.5.en_US
