    Abstract
This research uses activated carbon of bidara seeds synthesized as a material to make supercapacitor electrodes using physical and chemical activation methods, that have temperature variations of 400oC, 500oC, and 650oC. The activator used is KOH 2M. Then, characterization was carried out characterization, among others: morphological properties and elemental composition using SEM-EDX. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) were then performed to determine the structure of the material. The electrochemical properties of the materials were studied using cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge/discharge (GCD), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). SEM characterization results show that activated carbon has an irregular structure with different sizes and diameters. Then XRD testing shows the activated carbon activated carbon has an amorphous structure. Furthermore, it has the main functional groups, namely C=C and O-H with wave numbers 1589,34cm-1 and 3414,00cm-1. And finally has an optimum specific capacitance value of 16,06 F/g with an area of 0,0843mVA, then the optimum energy density is 0,28 Wh/kg, the optimum optimum power density at 14.400 W/kg, and has an electrical conductivity value of 2,6 x 10-8 S/m. The optimum sample temperature of 500oC was obtained for electrode manufacturing materials for supercapacitors.
