Perception of Housewives with Hypertension on the Anxiety-Causing Factors in sidorejo Village, Medan Tembung District
Abstract
Background: Hypertension is one of the most common non-communicable diseases (NCDs) worldwide, responsible for significant morbidity and mortality, including in Indonesia. The most common mental disorders are anxiety disorders, which include generalized anxiety disorders, social anxiety disorders, separation anxiety disorder, phobias, and panic disorders. Objective: To identify the factors that can influence anxiety in housewives with hypertension in Sidorejo Village, Medan Tembung District. Research Method: This study employs a quantitative descriptive method. Data were collected through questionnaires and informed consent from 127 housewives. Results: The study found that family factors were most frequently perceived by housewives with hypertension, with 108 respondents (85.04%) experiencing this factor. Conclusion: the perception of housewives with hypertension on the anxiety-causing factors in Sidorejo Village, Medan Tembung District, concludes that the most commonly perceived anxiety factor is the family factor.
