Peran Persepsi Kegunaan dan Persepsi Kemudahan dari Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) terhadap Sikap Penggunaan Perplexity AI pada Mahasiswa Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The decision to use new technology can be reviewed through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), through the dimensions of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use and attitudes towards using an application. One of the learning tools that students can use is the Perplexity AI. There are still few students who are proficient in using Perplexity AI, including among students at the University of North Sumatra. This study involved 401 respondents who used Perplexity AI, by filling out a measuring instrument for the scale attitude towards using Perplexity AI, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use constructed by researchers and teams. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have a significant role in the attitude towards using perplexity AI. The coefficient of determination (R Square) shows a value of 0.755, meaning that the attitude towards using perplexity AI is influenced by perceived usefulness and perceived convenience by 75.5% with a p value of <0.001 (<0.05). The results showed a significant positive relationship between the perceived usefulness and perceived convenience variables on the attitude of using perplexity AI.
