Future Anxiety is an anxiety related to the future also understood as a state of uncertainty, fear, concern about unfavorable changes that can occur in the future (Zaleski et al., 2017). Based on a survey conducted by Syuhadak et al (2022) in their research on expectations and anxiety about the future in final year students, it is known that 34 students feel anxious when thinking about their future. Based on this problem, the self-affirmation and butterfly hug methods are used with the aim of reducing future anxiety in final year students. There were 15 participants divided into three groups: control group, butterfly hug group, and self-affirmation group. Participants were given a pretest and post-test before and after treatment. The results of applying the methods to these groups found that the butterfly hug method was more effective in reducing future anxiety than self-affirmation.en_US
