Seikatsu Kaizen

Abstract

One of the concepts that emerged and was widely applied in Japanese reconstruction efforts was the Seikatsu Kaizen. Seikatsu kaizen focuses on continuous efforts to improve quality of life, efficiency, and productivity in daily activities. Seikatsu kaizen is a very important concept in Japanese culture, which emphasizes the importance of continuous improvement in everyday life. This writing aims to learn about the history, the basic principles of the application of seikatsu kaizen, the success factors of application seikastsu kaizen and application of seikatsu kaizen to the era of war and postwar. In this writing the author uses the method of library research, i.e. by collecting sources of reading sources such as books and the Internet as references related to the subject matter discussed. In implementing the Seikatsu Kaizen, Japan has successfully demonstrated that by reforming the way of life it can make a country progress. Seikatsu kaizen not only focuses on small sustainable change, but also creates a strong foundation and solid transformation for the lifestyle of Japanese people. Seikatsu kaizen teaches that small improvements made regularly can produce significant changes in the long term. It is a useful and effective method to develop yourself and improve the quality of life.
