    Abstract
Bawomataluo Village is a traditional village located in South Nias, North Sumatra Province. This village embodies the concept of a living megalithic culture. One of the traditions in this village that reflects the megalithic stone culture is "fahombo," which comes from the South Nias language and means the stone jumping tradition. This tradition involves young Nias men jumping over a stone that is 2 meters high. Currently, there are only three stone jumpers in Nias, and several existing issues pose a potential risk of reducing the number of people who can preserve the fahombo tradition. The struggle of these three stone jumpers, through consistent training and overcoming difficulties in the fahombo tradition, demonstrates their strong fighting spirit. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach.. This study employs a typical case sampling technique with three subjects. The findings of this study reveal that in the fahombo tradition, motivation is the main driving factor for an individual. The dimensions of control, origin and ownership, reach, and endurance (CO2RE) can be possessed by each jumper when they are motivated to perform fahombo.
