    Abstract
    Eating pattern is a habit and selecting food consumed by a person consistently. It can cause one's health as a whole. Unhealthy eating patterns contribute significantly to the increase in the risk of being affected by non-communicable disease, such as heart disease and blood vessels, hypertension, stroke, diabetes mellitus, and cancer which cause death. The objective of the research is to analyze the correlation of eating pattern and non-communicable disease in the Javanese families at Dusun IV, Bulu Cina. The research uses quantitative design with cross sectional approach. The samples are 86 respondents, taken by using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument is a questionnaire on eating patterns and non-communicable diseases. The result of the research shows that 64% of the respondents have an inappropriate eating pattern, and 36% of the respondents have an appropriate eating pattern, 67.4% of the respondents are affected by non-communicable disease, and 32.6% of the respondents are not. The result of the Spearman rho statistic test shows that p = 0.000 (p<0.05) which indicates that there is the correlation of eating pattern and non-communicable disease in the Javanese families at Dusun IV, Bulu Cina. It is recommended that the local health care providers design education program for the local people at Dusun IV, Bulu Cina by focusing on introducing healthful eating pattern and its positive consequence for health and the way to decrease the risk of not being affected by non-communicable disease through nutrition workshop, group discussions, and regular counseling at strategic places.
