dc.description.abstractRheumatism is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of the joints. This disease often occurs in the elderly. Poor diet can cause rheumatism. This research aims to identify the eating patterns of the elderly in the occurrence of rheumatoid arthritis in Sei Baharu Village. This research method uses a quantitative descriptive design to identify the eating patterns of the elderly, with a sample size of 43 respondents who suffer from rheumatism. The research results showed that the majority of respondents are male (58.1%), most respondents are aged 60-74 years (53.9%) and 81.4% of the majority of respondents had poor diets. The conclusion in this research is that the majority of respondents who suffer from rheumatic diseases do not follow a diet that meets health standards. It is recommended for the elderly to always pay attention to a good and healthy diet so that they are free from rheumatoid arthritis.en_US
