dc.description.abstractTeacher efficacy is a teacher's self-confidence in his or her ability to regulate the necessary behaviors and actions related to completing his or her teaching tasks. One of the intrinsic motivations that can control this is self determination. This study aims to determine the role of self determination on teacher efficacy in RA teachers in Medan city. A total of108 RA teachers in Medan city became respondents. Two measuring instruments in the form of teacher efficacy scale refer to the theory of Tschannen-Moran & Hoy (2001) and self determination refer to the theory of Sheldon & Deci (1996). Data collection in this study used google forms. The results of simple linear regression analysis show that the p value is .001 (p < 0.05). The results of the study state that there is a role of self determination on teacher efficacy in RA teachers in Medan City by 10,2%.en_US
