Currently, nano chitosan oligosaccharide has been developed as a cavity cleanser which has chelating properties. However, the effect of 2% nano chitosan oligosaccharide in gel form as a cavity cleanser is not yet known, especially its effect on dentin resin adhesion in the technique of dry and wet bonding. The aim of this research is to see the effect of nano chitosan oligosaccharide gel as a cavity cleanser on the attachment of dentin resin to acetone solvent adhesives between techniques of dry and wet bonding. A total of 24 premolar teeth underwent class I restoration which were divided into four treatment groups, namely the 2% oligosaccharide nanochitosan gel group using dry and wet bonding; and groups chlorhexidine digluconate 2% with technique dry and wet bonding. Micro gap measurements are carried out by looking at dye penetration methylene blue 2% through a stereomicroscope with 1x magnification and given a score of 0-3. The results of observations of micro gaps show value mean and standard deviation for group I (0.67 ± 0.516), group II (1.17 ± 0.753), group III (1.50 ± 1.049), and group IV (2.17 ± 0753). Kruskal Wallis Test obtained p=0.036 which shows a significant difference between the four treatment groups (p<0.05). In this study, 2% nano chitosan oligosaccharide gel cavity cleaner was used using the technique wet bonding yielded the lowest micro-gap scores.
