Perbandingan Usia Kronologis 8-16 Tahun terhadap Usia Gigi Menggunakan Metode TCI dan Cameriere pada Radiograf Panoramik
Comparison of Chronological Age of 8-16 Years to Dental Age Using TCI and Cameriere Methods on Panoramic Radiographs
Abstract
Dental age determination using panoramic radiographs can be used to predict chronological age in forensic odontology. The TCI and Cameriere methods are methods used to predict chronological age in dental radiography by looking at tooth development through tooth morphology. This study aims to determine the difference between dental ages using the TCI and Cameriere methods with a chronological age of 8-16 years and to analyze the differences between the two methods based on panoramic radiographs. This type of research is an analytical observational study with 62 panoramic radiographs aged 8-16 years in the Radiology Installation of Dentistry RSGM USU. The results of this study from the Mann-Whitney test obtained a p value = 0.000 between chronological age and the TCI method in both first premolar and first molar teeth. The p value = 0.002 between chronological age and the Cameriere method. The percentage of mean difference between chronological age and TCI method of first premolar is 33.99%, TCI of first molar is 74.97%, and Cameriere is 11.63%. The conclusion of this study was that there was a significant difference between chronological age and TCI method (p<0.05). There is a significant difference between chronological age and Cameriere method (p<0.05).
