Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan teknik penerjemahan yang This study aims to describe the translation techniques used in translating the digital comic "Reborn: The Savage Heiress" 《豪门千金重生后杀疯了》in Mangatoon. This study utilizes Molina Albir's translation technique theory. The data in this study were collected through listening and note-taking methods. The descriptive qualitative method was used to analyze the research data in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences contained in this digita comic. Based on the results of the research, there are 13 types of translation techniques used by the translator in translating this comic. The translation techniques used include modulation translation technique with a frequency of 16% (8 data), followed by discursive creation translation technique with a frequency of 14% (7 data). Then amplification technique, reduction technique, and transposition technique with the same number of frequency of use which is 10% (5 data). Next is the common equivalence technique and literal translation technique with the same number of data, namely 4 data with a frequency of 8%, then generalization technique, adaptation technique, and variation technique with the same frequency of 6% (3 data) and then the translation technique that appears the least is linguistic compression technique, compensation technique, and particularization technique with the same frequency of 2% (1 data).
