The Relationship between the Placement of Implementing Nurses and Their Performance in Providing Nursing Care in Inpatient Rooms al Government Hospitals in Medan
Abstract
The placement of nursing staff involves positioning nurses in the right units or areas according to patient needs. Proper and optimal nurse placement is crucial for ensuring maximum performance in delivering nursing care. The performance of nurses is significantly influenced by how they are placed within various healthcare service units. This study aims to identify the relationship between the placement of implementing nurses and their performance in providing nursing care. This research is a quantitative study with a descriptive correlational design. The population in this study consists of all implementing nurses in the inpatient rooms al RSVP H. Adam Malik Medan, with a sample size of 139 implementing nurses selected through simple random sampling. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman test. The study results show that the nurse placement is excellent at 90.6%, and the performance of nurses in providing nursing care is excellent at 94.2%. The Spearman test analysis results indicate a correlation coefficient of 0.557 and a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), signifying a very strong and significant correlation. The study recommends furt'1er research into the placement of implementing nurses based on specific competencies to enhance performance and quality of nursing care. Qualitative methods such as surveys and in-depth interviews can be used to obtain comprehensive and detailed data.
