dc.description.abstractThe development of information technology impacts in increasing productivity, efficiency and operational ejfective11ess and can assist in decision making. The application of information technology can also reduce the workload of nurses. Tire objective of this research is to analyze the correlation between the application of information technology and the workload of nurses in inpatient rooms at government hospitals in Medan. This is quantitative research with a correlational descriptive design. The population consists of 204 executive nurses and a sample of I 36 executive nurses, analyzed using Spearman's who test analysis. The research results show that p-value is 0.006 (a=0.05), indicating that there is a significant correlation between the information technology and the workload of nurses. The application of information technology is in the very good category (67.6%) and the workload of nurses is in the medium category (82.4%).en_US
