dc.description.abstract | The development of radar technology in metal detection has become a topic of interest
in recent decades. This research aims to analyze the performance of a metal detection
radar using the ROKO SN04-N module implemented on the Arduino platform.
Experimental methods are used to obtain the data required for analysis. In the initial
stage, the radar module is characterized and calibrated using a predetermined
reference target. Next, metal detection tests were carried out with variations in
distance and orientation of the metal to the radar sensor. The performance of the
ROKO SN04-N radar can detect metal objects at a distance of 1 mm to 9 mm and this
system provides a fast and accurate response, and is able to calculate the amount of
metal detected well. Test result data is analyzed to evaluate the system's performance
in detecting metal with optimal accuracy and responsiveness. The results of the
analysis can provide valuable insights in the development of more efficient and
