dc.description.abstract | This thesis is entitled Hahomion Ceremony in Batu Sawan: A Study of Local
Wisdom. This research aims to describe the stages of the Hahomion ceremony in
Batu Sawan, describe the functions contained in the Hahomion ceremony, and
describe the local wisdom values contained in the Hahomion ceremony. The theory
used in analyzing the data is the local wisdom theory put forward by Robert
Sibarani. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. In
this research, it was found that there were 2 stages, namely: 1) Preparatory stage
for the Hahomion Ceremony in Batu Sawan and 2) Stage for the Main Event of the
Hahomion Ceremony in Batu Sawan. Preparation stages include: 1) forming a
ceremony committee, 2) determining the day of implementation, and 3) preparing
equipment. The main event stages include: 1) Mandok Marsiture Hutana, 2)
Manortor and 3) Martua Omaoma. In its function there are 4 functions, namely: 1)
Spiritual Function and 2) Social Function. Apart from that, the values contained in
this ceremony are cultural preservation and creativity; mutual cooperation; hard
work; environmental care; gender management; discipline; gratitude;
commitment; politeness; conflict resolution; positive thinking; social solidarity;
