Nilai-Nilai Sosial dalam Novel Pulang Karya Leila S Chudori: Analisis Sosiologi Sastra

Abstract

The novel “Pulang” by Leila S Chudori presents various social values found in each character. The aim of this research is to reveal the form of social values contained in the novel Pulang by Leila S Chudori. This research uses a qualitative method. The data collection technique begins with reading the novel Pulang. Furthermore, the data analysis techniques in this research start from data reduction, data codification, data classification, data description, data interpretation, and data verification. This research uses a qualitative approach with supported content analysis methods. The research results show that in the subfocus there are social values in the elements of the novel Pulang by Leila S. Chudori, especially in the story theme. The social values contained in the theme are the struggle of political exiles to return to their homeland. The events experienced by the characters in the story are in accordance with the social aspects that occur among political exiles in Indonesia. The social structure of society, it can be seen that there are social values in the novel that are in accordance with the social structure of society, including the G30SPKI incident. The research found shows that this research in the novel Pulang can be used as reading material for students and the general public to broaden their knowledge of history.
