dc.description.abstract | The construction project is a series of activities to achieve a specific goal
(building or construction) within certain time, cost, and quality constraints. In a
construction project, communication is one of the crucial factors for the smooth
progress of the project work. The objective of project communication
management is to ensure that all project-related information is communicated in
a timely manner, accurately created, collected, distributed, stored, and managed
carefully. Poor communication quality among various parties involved in a
project can lead to a decrease in project performance.
This study aims to identify communication factors influencing project
success and determine which communication factors have the most significant
impact on project success in the development of the UMKM Square USU
Collaboration Building. This research uses a quantitative approach, which
emphasizes analysis on numerical data processed with statistical methods using
SPSS assistance. Analyzing data through validity tests, reliability tests, multiple
linear regression analysis, F-tests, and T-tests.
The research results indicate that all questions from each variable have
an observed value (r-value) > r-table (0.482) and also cronbach's alpha value >
0.6, indicating that all questionnaire items are valid and reliable or accurate.
Variable X2 (Facilities and Technology Usage) has the highest regression
coefficient, which is 3.799, thus Variable X2 becomes the most dominant factor.
This means that variable Y (Project Success) is more influenced by factor X2,
compared to other variables such as X1 (Performance Report), X3 (Information
Delivery), X4 (Communication Skills), X5 (Coordination Relations). The
recommended strategy is to optimize communication performance by improving
information distribution flow and ensuring clarity of information conveyed by
relevant parties in a construction project | en_US |
