    Abstract
The energy crisis, especially fuel oil, is caused by increasing energy consumption and the depletion of petroleum reserves. One alternative energy source that has the potential to be developed in Indonesia is biodiesel. The abundant availability of used cooking oil has enormous potential to be used as a raw material for biodiesel. And neem oil has the property of improving the quality of biodiesel. This research aims to examine the process of making biodiesel from a mixture of used cooking oil (WCO) and neem oil using the ultrasonic method. This research also evaluates the use of biodiesel produced in boiler burners with variations in mixing biodiesel and dexlite. This research uses a transesterification method with variations in the methanol to oil ratio and KOH catalyst concentration. The research results showed that a methanol ratio of 2:1 and a catalyst concentration of 2% gave the highest biodiesel yield of 98.70%. The biodiesel characteristics measured, such as density, viscosity, cetane value, flash point and heating value, have met the SNI 7182-2015 standard. The results show that biodiesel can be used with a maximum blend of 70% biodiesel and 30% dexlite, with a significant reduction in exhaust emissions such as CO, CO2, and HC, as well as an increase in O2 levels. Biodiesel from a mixture of used cooking oil and neem oil produced using the ultrasonic method can be a sustainable fuel alternative and reduce dependence on fossil fuels
