Hubungan Grit dengan Self Regulated Learning pada Siswa SMAN 1 Doloksanggul

Abstract

This research examines the relationship between grit and self-regulated learning among students of SMAN 1 Doloksanggul and its correlation with academic achievement. Grit, encompassing perseverance and consistency in interests, assists students in staying focused on long-term goals despite challenges. Self-regulated learning, involving planning, monitoring, and self-regulation in the learning process, provides students with strategies to effectively manage their learning. The objective of this study is to explore the relationship between grit and self-regulated learning among students of SMAN 1 Doloksanggul. Students with high levels of grit are expected to exhibit high levels of self-regulated learning. This research employs a quantitative method with a sample size of 283 individuals obtained through accidental sampling technique. The research instruments utilize the grit scale developed by the Cognitive Studies and Learning Department of the Faculty of Psychology, USU, and the self-regulated learning scale developed by Hasibuan (2023). Data analysis is conducted using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. Based on data analysis, the correlation coefficient is found to be (r=0.618) with a significance value (p 0.00 < p 0.05). The results indicate a significant relationship between grit and self-regulated learning among students of SMAN 1 Doloksanggul.
