Perancangan Resort Dikawasan Danau Siombak dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Tepi Danau

Abstract

The Lake Siombak area located in North Sumatra, Medan City, Medan Marelan District, Paya Pasir Village has potential that can be developed as stipulated in the RTRW regional regulation. However, in the area there are no tourism facilities such as lodging or lakeside recreation areas. Looking at the existing potential, then what are the criteria for tourism facilities with the concept of lakeside architecture? And how to design a building with a lakeside architectural concept? In this thesis, it will be answered with a qualitative descriptive method, namely a method that uses data collection, presentation, comparison, and data analysis as well as conducting surveys. The concept is applied by considering the direction towards the lake, making the direction towards the lake, making the lake the main view, using materials and water tourism facilities that can help design a resort in the Lake Siombak area to the fullest. So that the results of this design have a dynamic building shape that leads to the lake, has the best view in each area, uses more natural materials so that the building can adapt to the surrounding area. It also has supporting facilities such as lakeside recreation area, theme park, barbecue area and pier.
