Repetitive Language Styles and Comparative Language Styles in the Song Lyrics of the Album “Keterkaitan Keterikatan” by Noah Band: Stylistic Analysis
Abstract
This research examines repetition language styles and comparative language styles in the lyrics of the song album Keterkaitan Keterikatan by Noah Band. The aim of this research is to find out what types of repetition language styles and comparative language styles are found in the song lyrics of the Keterkaitan Keterikatan album and to find out what types of repetition language styles and comparative language styles are often used by composers in the lyrics of the album Keterkaitan Keterikatan. This research uses a listening method with a stylistic approach. Stylistics is a science that studies, analyzes and examines language style. Literary works that are assessed through language style will display the characteristics and uniqueness of each piece of writing. The results of this research can be concluded with what repetition language styles and comparative language styles are used by them and what repetition language styles and comparative language styles are often used by these composers. The author concludes that there are four types of figures of speech in the language style of repetition, namely simploke, assonance, alliteration and anaphora. For comparative language styles, six types of figures of speech were found, namely, metaphor, pleonasm, simile, allegory, tautology, and anthropomorphism. In the lyrics of the album Keterkaitan Keterikatan, the composer often uses a repetitive language style which functions to have a rhyme that is pleasant to listen to.
