dc.description.abstractEmployee performance at the KPP Pratama Medan Timur office has not been optimal in the last few years; it can be seen from its fluctuating tax revenue. Good transformational leadership which can motivate them to provide their maximum capacity is needed. Besides that, organizational support is also necessary for increasing employee commitment to work. The objective of the research is to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and organizational support on employee performance through employee commitment in the Directorate General of tax of North Sumatera I, KPP Pratama Medan Timur Office. The research uses descriptive quantitative method. The population is 84 structural employees at the KPP Pratama Medan Timur Office, and all of them are used as the samples. The data are analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The result of the reseacrh show that, directly, transformational leadership does not have any significant influence on employee performance but organizational support directly has positive and significant influence on employee perfomance. Employee commitment directly has positive and significant influence on employee performance, and both transformational leadership and organizational support directly has positive and significant influnce on employees commitment. Indirectly, transformational leadership and organizational support have positive and significant influence on employee performance at the KPP Pratama Medan Timur Office, mediated by employee commitment.en_US
