Penggunaan Ujaran dan Ekspresi Kemarahan dalam Film Mat Kilau: Kajian Psikolinguistik

Abstract

The problems in the research include speech and expressions of anger in the film Mat Kilau. This research aims to identify and classify utterances to express anger in verbal communication and non-verbal communication with. This research is a library research study using qualitative descriptive methods, the approach used is a psycholinguistic approach using Jakobson's speech theory. The data collected uses documentation techniques, namely screen captures for each excerpt and the note-taking method for data in the form of conversations. The data source in this research is the film Mat Kilau and the research data is in the form of utterances in actor dialogue spoken by film actors Mat Kilau. The results of the research showed that there were 51 utterances consisting of 16 emotional utterances, 7 phatic utterances, 9 referential utterances, 8 conative utterances, 6 metalanguage utterances, and 5 poetic utterances. Meanwhile, expressions of anger can be seen from facial expressions and voice, namely, glaring eyes, glaring, glaring at other people, as well as rising, falling, low and high pitched voices. There are also expressions of anger that can be seen from attitudes and body movements, namely choking the person you are talking to, punching the person you are talking to, holding the person you are talking to, pointing at yourself, and leaning forward. The conclusion obtained from this research is that there are 51 utterances which are divided into 6 parts, emotional utterances, phatic utterances, referential utterances, conative utterances, meta-language utterances, and phatic utterances in the film Mat Kilau and there are expressions of anger shown by the characters through these utterances. seen from changes in face, tone of voice and body movements.
