Coworking space design in the city of Medan with biophilic architecture
approach with the aim to create a different work environment with conventional
work environment. The work environment is expected to be a healthy,
productive, and sustainable work environment. In the current era, cities are
often faced with the problem of work environments that are less pleasant and
too rigid so that it has an impact on the lack of inspiration that can have a
negative impact on the welfare and productivity of its users. therefore, the
biophilic architecture approach that incorporates natural elements into the
space certainly becomes relevant in terms of improving the quality of the work
environment.
This design carries a coworking space design that connects biophilic
architecture principles such as natural lighting, utilization of indoor gardens.
Through the use of trees, plants, water, and natural lighting, the work
environment is expected to improve the physical and mental well-being of
building users. The result of this design is expected that the implementation of
coworking space design with biophilic architecture approach can be a new flow
for conventional workspaces that exist at this time, especially in the city of
Medan.
