dc.description.abstractrepresentations through mass media. Media Propaganda is often used as a topic in movies, one of which is the movie entitled “The Post”. This research aimed to determine media propaganda through the movie "The Post". The theory used in this research are Elizabeth Lee & Alfred Lee’s theory “The Fine Arts of Propaganda” about the techiques of propaganda including 1) Name Calling; 2) Glittering Generality; 3) Transfer; 4) Plain Folks; 5) Testimonials; 6) Card Stacking; 7) Bandwagon and the theory from Klarer “An Introduction to Literary Studies” about intrinsic elements with a focus on characters and settings. The writer applied the qualitative method to present all the data in the form of words and sentences. Based on the analysis done, it is found that 4 techniques used in delivering propaganda messages in "The Post" movie, they are Card Stacking, Glittering Generalities, Name Calling, and Testimonial. The Card Stacking technique is the most frequently used in the movie “The Post”. The government used its power to disseminate these propaganda messages in places and at times that were conducive to the spread of propaganda messages. It can be concluded that this research can provide understanding to the public to anticipate the techniques of spreading propaganda that the public may experience through the mass media.en_US
