dc.description.abstractThis thesis is entitled Literary Sociological Study of Lingga and Ancient Folklore. The problem in this research is the intrinsic elements of the Lingga and Purba folklore, the sociological values of literature contained in the Lingga and Purba folklore, and the public's view of the Lingga and Purba folklore. Lingga and Purba Folklore is a form of story owned by the Toba Batak people, specifically those in Pulo Godang village, Pakkat District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This research aims to determine the structure of the story and determine the sociological values of Lingga and Purba folklore literature, and the views of society. The method used to analyze this research problem is a qualitative descriptive method. This research uses structural theory and literary sociology theory. The intrinsic elements in this story include: theme, plot, setting, and character. The literary sociological values contained in this story include: love, conflict, religion/belief, livelihood system, and health, mutual help, material, patience and consequences, humility, religious.en_US
