    Abstract
Improving the quality of Early Childhood Education is the Government of Indonesia's goal in achieving Human Resource Development goals in 2045. Indonesia will experience a golden age in 2045 with 70% of Indonesia's population being of productive age. Therefore, the process of forming brain intelligence in early childhood or golden age is very important because it is related to intellectual abilities as an adult. The government's goal of improving the quality of early childhood education has not been well realised because early childhood in Indonesia still experiences delays in motor and cognitive development. Medan City seeks to provide supporting facilities for early childhood education as an effort to realise Medan City as a Child Friendly City (KLA). In addition, Medan City has a rapidly growing economic and social sector. Women have the right to contribute in various fields, including the economy. However, the low female labour force participation rate in Medan City shows the influence of gender discrimination and the assumption that women are fully responsible for the household, especially in caring for and educating children. Therefore, a facility is needed that can support the education and development process of early childhood as a fulfilment of children's rights. Then a facility that can also accommodate the needs of working mothers in Medan City to be able to leave their children to get alternative care and education. Children Centre is a facility that can support the education and development process for early childhood with daycare facilities as an alternative care for career mothers in Medan City. The tropical architecture approach is used to produce a building that can support the process of child development with a comfortable environment. The research method uses descriptive method by collecting a number of books, theories and relefant cases related to the problem and research objectives.
