Nilai-Nilai Sosial dalam Novel Mangalua Karya Idris Pasaribu:Analisis Sosiologi Sastra

Abstract

This research aims to describe the social values contained in the novel Mangalua by Idris Pasaribu. This research uses Zubaedi's theory which divides social values into several sub-values, namely: (1) loves (affection) which consists of devotion, mutual help, kinship, loyalty and concern; (2) responsibility which consists of the values of a sense of belonging, discipline and empathy; and (3) life harmony (life harmony) which consists of the values of justice, tolerance, cooperation and democracy. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method which will produce research data in the form of words, phrases and sentences that indicate the existence of social values in the novel Mangalua by Idris Pasaribu. The data source for this research is the novel Mangalua by Idris Pasaribu. The data collection techniques in this research are the library method, listening method, and note-reading method which are analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, data decomposition, and drawing conclusions. The result of the research was the discovery of social values in the novel Mangalua by Idris Pasaribu.
