    Abstract
This study aims to analyze the types of illocutionary acts and contextual factors underlying the illocutionary acts in Sri Mulyani's speech at ADB SEADS 2023. The theories used in this research are Searle's theory about illocutionary acts and Hymes' theory about contextual factors. This research used a descriptive qualitative method by describing the types of speech acts and contextual factors underlying the illocutionary acts of Sri Mulyani's speech. The research indicators include types of illocutionary acts which are representative, directive, commissive, expressive, declarative. The contextual factors in Sri Mulyani’s speech consist of setting, participant, end, act sequence, key, instrumentalities, norms, genre. The study found that there were 54 illocutionary acts with representative as the most dominant, and 20 contextual factors underlying the use of illocutionary acts in the speech with act sequence as the most dominant contextual factor. The 9 elements of contextual factors are existed in Sri Mulyani’s speech. This study provides a deeper understanding of the use of illocutionary acts and contextual factors in Sri Mulyani's speech can provide valuable insights in understanding and conveying the communicative purposes used in the context.
