Estimasi Distribusi Spasial Stok Karbon Mangrove di Atas Permukaan Tanah di Kecamatan Medan Belawan Menggunakan Citra Satelit Sentinel-2A
Estimation of Spatial Distribution of Mangrove Carbon Stock Above Ground Surface in Medan Belawan District Using Sentinel-2A Imagery
Abstract
The mangrove forest is an ecosystem of coastal forests. Mangrove forests have an
important role to play in coastal life; besides, mangrove woods have an
ecological function as good carbon storage and can reduce CO2 emissions in
efforts to mitigate climate change. The research is aimed at obtaining information
on the carbon spread over the surface of Sicanang mangrove forest soil, Belawan
Field District, Field City, using a Sentinel-2A satellite image. The field data
collection method is purposive sampling of 358 observation plots. Carbon content
measurement uses allometric equations. The creation of spatial models uses the
index of vegetation as a free variable and carbon as a bound variable, and
statistical testing is carried out. The carbon spread map is selected based on the
selected vegetation index model using NDVI, GNDVI, MRSre, and NDre1. The
results of the study show that the exponential model NDVI is the best model with
the regression equation y = 0,0866e8,7101x, R2 = 0,864, the T-pair test > 0,05, and
RMSE = 5,81. The average carbon
