Abstract

This research aims to describe the types and factors of meaning changes that occur in the Chinese Fantasy Anime The Galaxy Emperor盖世帝尊 (Gài Shì Dì Zūn) and to find out the meaning changes that occur in the Chinese Fantasy Anime The Galaxy Emperor盖世帝尊 (Gài Shì Dì Zūn).The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with phenomenological approach. The data used in this research are words, phrases or sentences that contain changes in meaning in the dialog of Chinese Fantasy Anime The Galaxy Emperor盖世帝尊 (Gài Shì Dì Zūn). The data source of this research is Chinese Fantasy Anime The Galaxy Emperor盖世帝尊 (Gài Shì Dì Zūn). The data collection method in the research uses the technique of Listen, Pass, Free, Talk (SLBC) and note technique. The research data used data analysis proposed by Miles and Huberman, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found a total of 20 data, with the division of changes in the type of meaning, namely changes in shifting meaning totaling 13 data and emotional changes in meaning totaling 7 data. And there are 3 factors that influence changes in meaning, namely socio-culture, associations and responses
