Karakter Protagonis Tokoh Utama Eliana dalam Novel Si Anak Pemberani Karya Tere Liye

Abstract

Literary works of fiction are basically formed based on conflict issues, which are concretized through the characters in the story. Successful fiction is able to show each character in each character. Characters in literary works provide color to the story. There are differences in the characters in literary works, including evil and good characters, or what could be called antagonist and protagonist characters. The aim of this research is to describe the protagonist character in the novel Si Anak Pemberani by Tere Liye. The protagonist character that will be researched uses a theory that states the protagonist character. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Qualitative research methods produce descriptive data in the form of written words from the characters observed. The primary data source comes from the novel Si Anak Pemberani by Tere Liye. The data taken in this research are words, paragraphs, quotes and dialogue that refer to the protagonist character. The technique used in this research uses documentation and literature techniques. Continue with the technique of noting and marking sentences related to the protagonist character. Next is data analysis which is carried out by grouping data, presenting data, then drawing conclusions. The research results show that the novel Si Anak Pemberani by Tere Liye has five protagonist characters, including: generous, honest, independent, loyal friend and defender.
