Simbol Pada Jenis-Jenis Ulos Batak Toba: Kajian Kearifan Lokal

Abstract

This thesis is entitled Symbols of the Toba Batak Ulos Type: A Study of Local Wisdom. The aim of this research is to describe what symbols are found in Ulos Batak Toba and to describe the wisdom of local symbols in Ulos Batak Toba. The theory used in this research is local wisdom put forward by Sibarani. The results obtained in this research are that the types of Toba Batak Ulos include: (1) namely Ragihotang ulos; (2) sibolang; (3) mangiring: (4) yeast hut; (5) maratur star; (6) live yeast, (7) pinunsaan, (8) simarinjam side, (9) lobu-lobu, (10) sitolu tuho, (11) surisuri Ganjang, (12) tumtuman, (13) speech; and (14) children. The local wisdom values contained in ulos are: (1) cultural preservation and creativity; (2) mutual cooperation; (3) gratitude; (4) politeness; (5) commitment; (6) harmony and conflict resolution; (7) social solidarity; (8) positive thoughts; (9) education; and (10) honesty.
