This study aims to determine whether there is a role of peer attachment to school connectedness in junior high school students in Medan city. The sample in this study was 100 students who were taken using the accidental sampling method. The type of this research is quantitative research with simple linear regression analysis techniques. Data collection uses a Likert scale with two measuring instruments. Peer attachment was measured using the Parent and Peer Attachment Inventory (IPPA) by Armsden and Greenberg (1987) while school connectedness used The School Connectedness Scale (The SCS) by Lohmeier and Lee (2011). The results showed a p value of .001 (p < .05) with a coefficient of determination (R²) of .275. This indicates that there is a significant positive role between peer attachment variables and school connectedness with a role contribution of 27.5%.en_US
