    Abstract
    Generation Z as a generational group that has dominated in the company, is known to have a behaviour of often moving from one company to another when they have worked for less than 2 years where the individual works, this job-hopping behaviour is called Job Hopping Intention. Work engagement is a condition in employees who have positive thoughts at work characterised by enthusiasm, dedication and appreciation, is one of the factors that can affect job hopping intention in employees. The research method that will be used for this research is quantitative correlation. Correlational research aims to investigate the extent to which phenomena in a variable are related to one or more other variables. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. The sample in this study were 125 generation Z employees in Medan. The data collection technique was carried out using a questionnaire in the form of a google form. The analysis technique used in this research is simple liner regression. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, the significance value is 0.000 <0.05, the R square value is 0.443 and the R value is 0.665. the results showed that the hypothesis was accepted, meaning that there is an effect of work engagement on job hopping intention in generation Z employees in Medan. Work engagement affects job hopping intention by 44.3% and the remaining 55.7% is influenced by other factors.
