    Abstract
This study examines the application of Bushido values in the practice of kendo at Persada Medan Kendo Club (PMKC). Bushido, known as the "way of the warrior," is a samurai code of ethics that encompasses principles such as honor, loyalty, courage, and discipline. The aim of this research is to understand how these values are implemented in training activities and social interactions at PMKC. The method used is qualitative, with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with coaches and club members, participant observation during training sessions, and analysis of club documents. The results show that bushido values at PMKC are applied in various ways: coaches emphasize the importance of discipline by requiring participants to arrive on time and take training sessions seriously; courage is tested and honed through sparring exercises; and honor and loyalty are demonstrated through mutual respect between members and coaches. Observations also revealed that senior members actively mentor new members, creating a supportive and cohesive environment. Additionally, the commitment to bushido values is reflected in club activities outside formal training, such as visiting sick members. In conclusion, PMKC successfully integrates Bushido values into their kendo practice, which not only enhances martial arts skills but also shapes the character and morals of its members. The interviewees were considered to have predominantly embraced the values of loyalty, discipline and love. This research provides insights into the relevance and application of traditional values in the modern context of kendo practice.
