dc.description.abstract | Analysis of the Characteristics of Iron Sand and Nickel Oxide as Microwave Absorbing Materials, Their Influence on Microwave Absorption Properties, and the Frequency Range of the Waves Produced by These Materials. The research method used is the Solid State Reaction method. Samples with mass ratios in the composition of iron sand with the addition of nickel oxide (1:4, 1:1, and 4:1) were analyzed. The results of XRD testing through X-ray diffraction pattern data showed that iron sand and nickel oxide contain hematite (Fe2O3) and nickel oxide (NiO) phases. SEM and EDS results showed that the morphological structure has the highest oxygen atom percentage of 65.57% in the (4:1) sample, and the smallest sample diameter was observed in the (4:1) composition sample with a diameter of 0.056433 μm. Observations using VNA showed that the material composed of iron sand and nickel oxide with a (4:1) composition can absorb microwaves at a frequency of 11.1 GHz with a Reflection Loss (RL) value of -17.8 dB and a microwave absorption percentage of 98%. Therefore, the Fe2O3 and NiO sample with a (4:1) composition is more optimal in absorbing microwaves. | en_US |
