    Abstract
PT. Nusira is a manufacturing company that processes latex into semi-finished rubber. PT. Nusira has a storage warehouse for finished products before they are distributed. The products are divided into three types of pallets: GPS-5, CM-2, and NRP, each with its own packaging type. The products are stored in a finished goods warehouse with an area of 1,090 m², a length of 37.45 meters, and a width of 29.10 meters. The factory warehouse plays an important role in storage. Good storage means being able to organize products in an orderly manner, thereby reducing material handling distances when searching for items. The problem at PT. Nusira is that the arrangement of pallet boxes does not yet have specific rules, with products being arranged based on available empty space and no provisions for organizing products based on their type. Products that should be placed far from the exit door due to their low throughput value are instead placed near the exit door and vice versa. Another problem is that the stacking of pallet boxes in each slot is not maximized according to their capacity (4 pallet boxes), resulting in little space to store other products. The final issue is the large travel distance for material handling, which is 24,817.07 meters. The material handling equipment used is a forklift with a diagonal length and width of 3.23 meters and 1.53 meters, respectively, experiencing difficulty in retrieving pallet boxes due to narrow aisles caused by the lack of allowance between aisles and the very tight positioning of products. To obtain an alternative layout to improve the warehouse arrangement and solve these problems, shared storage and dedicated storage methods were used. The layout design using the shared storage method resulted in a total of 110 slots with a floor space requirement of 909 m² and a total travel distance of 4,351.6 meters, with a simulation result of 26,473.54 meters. Meanwhile, using the dedicated storage method resulted in a total travel distance of 4,260.51 meters, with a simulation result of 18,987.67 meters.
