    Abstract
The aim of the research is to find out the types of sentences of locutionary acts, the classification and function of illocutionary acts, and perlocutionary acts based on the comment section in the Wizard Liz motivational video entitled “Realizing These Things Will Change Your Life”. The research used Searle’s theory and the descriptive qualitative method. The result found 58 data with 48 data (83%) declarative sentences and 10 data (17%) imperative sentences. The types of sentences in exclamatory and question are not found. This research found classifications of illocutionary acts which are 38 data (65%) of representative including the function of asserting 11 data (19%), describing 1 data (2%), predicting 6 data (10%), and informing 20 data (34%); 12 data (21%) of directive including the function of advice 4 data (7%), order 7 data (12%), and request 1 data (2%); 3 data (5%) of commissive including the function of promise 1 data (2%) and refusal 2 data (3%); and 5 data(9%) of expressive including the function of praising 1 data (2%) and thanking 4 data (7%). The classification of declarative is not found in the Wizard Liz motivational video. The result of perlocutionary acts can be concluded that the viewers started to come out of their comfort zone by doing something new that they had never done before to upgrade themselves such as doing physical movement, walking away from toxic people, or journaling.
